(The late) Roger Mace, W6RW was a pioneer DX'er in Southern California. He was also a prominent still photographer during the halcyon days of Hollywood.

(The late) OY7ML was a very active station on the Scandinavian Faroe Islands. This photograph dates back to the 1950's.

On the right, Gus Browning, W4BPD. A former midwestern TV repairman who was bankrolled to go to exotic locations. He gave many hams a new, rare country - credit toward the DXCC award. He was known for his casual manner and sense of humor. On the left, Don Miller, M.D., W9WNV. In a burst of ego fulfillment, he "appeared" from many rare locations. When his veracity was questioned by the ARRL, he threatened to sue, but disappeared. Don is presently in prison.
