The
Psychotronic Encyclopaedia of Film is compiled by
Clevelander Michael Weldon. It's Great! (That's how we
spent our time in Cleveland. These are really great
movies, (Remember "I Dismember Mama?") but
where to obtain them?)
This book makes a great gift and the descriptions are
incredible reading.

Ah-ha!
Find the ones that are on video and get them from the
OutaDaLoop BookStore! Here's Weldon's Video
Encyclopaedia. I'm going to put some in the
BookStore. Stay tuned. |

Why
People Believe Wierd Things, by Michael Shermer
explains popular myths like "100 Monkeys." It's
an eye-opener.

We
need to get our values straight: Zen and the Art of
Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig. I
particularly identify with Pirsig's journey. I wish I had
spent that kind of time with my son. |

Jack (Invasion of the Body
Snatchers) Finney wrote the perfect novel. It's so
good, in fact, that it defies movie-making! Time and
Again is an experience you'll never forget. You'll be
amazed when you discover "T'nA" fans among your
friends and acquaintances. You must buy this book! |

This is the absolutely, perfectly,
best gift you can give anyone. Chet Raymo's 365 Starry
Nights presents a chart of the night sky for every
day of the year. The drawings are charming, the stories
absorbing and astronomy becomes a living drama, right
there, over your head. A pair of modest binoculars
completes the observing ensemble. Do something great for
a kid! |

How to Calm Down Even If You're
Absolutely, Totally Nuts, by Fred Miller. Take it
from me, Fred should know, and if this book lowers your
blood pressure by a lousy mm of mercury, it's worth the
$9.00! I admire Fred and heartily recommend his book! |

When I directed this NBC Movie
("Steel Cowboy"), we called Strother Martin
"T-Bone" (he was on the diving team at UCLA),
and Melanie Griffith was a teenager. During the eighteen
day schedule I almost got killed several times. It's
worth seeing for performances by James Brolin, Strother,
Melanie and Rip Torn. |

How about a "Wonderworks"
I directed for P.B.S.? "The Boy Who
Loved Trolls" stars Sam Waterston, Susan
Anton and William Macy ("Fargo") as a Turtle!
It's available from Amazon.com at a reduced price! Click

"Wildside"
was the colorful western series conceived by Tom Greene.
I won't tell you too much about it, just read the reviews
on the Amazon page. There were six hours, I directed
three, Richard Sarafian, the
formidable actor-director directed three. |
